The Official Black App: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

De'Qualis Waites: Born in Dallas, Tx. The oldest of about 12 siblings and counting. Started my entrepreneurship journey selling Pokémon cards then I used that money to fund the supplies for my candy house and the rest is history. God has shown me I have a light to use in this world of darkness by helping and teaching others the strategies I know.

The Official Black App: What made you want to start your business?

De'Qualis Waites: There were too many mishaps from other delivery services and we partnered with a corner store, so that help launch our delivery service back in 2019. We took off very fast when the pandemic era took place with Covid. We’re steady striving to partner with other businesses to help them get there products directly to clients and to franchise in other areas.

Where is the Fine?: Steelers mock Damar Hamlin

The recent antics displayed by some members of the Pittsburgh Steelers have been nothing short of disgraceful. In a show of complete disrespect and insensitivity, these players have mocked Damar Hamlin, a player who recently required CPR to save his life during a Monday Night Football game. It is completely unacceptable for any player, or group of players, to mock someone who has suffered a serious medical emergency. Not only is this behavior callous and heartless, it also sends a terrible message to fans and the rest of the league. The NFL must take swift and decisive action in response to this incident. The players involved must be fined, and the Steelers as a team must also be held accountable for their actions. This type of behavior has no place in professional sports, and the NFL must make it clear that it will not be tolerated. It is time for the great change to occur in the NFL.
